So many martial artists and fighters spend so much time building strength and muscular speed, perfecting flashy, complicated techniques, and improving their cardio.

But how many spend any real time improving their Reflex Speed?

Having a high reflex speed can mean the difference between a mediocre martial artists and a world class warrior.

In the street, fast reflexes can mean the difference between life and death. You don't want to be the slow one - you don't want to be dead.

A Mental Drill that Will Make You a Better Fighter!

You know, there never seems to be enough time in the day to get your training in. Even if we did have all day to train we’d still need quite a bit of time to rest and recover to get the most out of our training. Fortunately for us there is a way to improve your performance without adding any additional physical training. All you need to do is visualize yourself fighting an opponent.

As you may have already guessed it isn’t exactly as simple as that.

The Fighter's Training Continuum

So, while visiting a few of the forums I frequent I’ve noticed something of a trend: People arguing over the validity of a particular training method versus another.

I think ultimately it is a variation of “my martial art/fighting system is better than yours…nah nahna boo boo!”

If you’ve been reading this blog you already know how pointless such an argument is. Nonetheless, I want to take a look at the subject from a new angle.
