Meditation Can Give You The "Winning Edge"!

It seems like I'm coming across more and more research into the benefits of meditation.


This article gives a particularly good summary of the most recent findings. 


It's becoming more and more accepted that meditation is a highly effective (and drug free) way to reduce stress, reduce pain, improve memory, and improve cognitive function.

Despite what the skeptics and naysayers have to say, meditation is a highly valuable way for fighters and martial artists to improve their performance.

What Every Martial Artist Should Know About CTE


Most of you know by now that I spend a lot time on forums. Well, I was over at the RossTraining.com's strength and conditioning forums and one member was asking questions about Brain Injury and Combat Sports.

Jon's Question: "Do you think it's possible to go through years of full contact boxing, MMA etc without accruing any sort of cognitive problems? Or are such effects inevitable?"

A Mental Drill that Will Make You a Better Fighter!

You know, there never seems to be enough time in the day to get your training in. Even if we did have all day to train we’d still need quite a bit of time to rest and recover to get the most out of our training. Fortunately for us there is a way to improve your performance without adding any additional physical training. All you need to do is visualize yourself fighting an opponent.

As you may have already guessed it isn’t exactly as simple as that.
